An anthology of thirty-two short plays includes works by Christopher Durang, David Mamet, John Patrick Shanley, August Wilson, Sherry Kramer, and Megan Terry.
A collection of 10 minute plays, many by some of the best known names in contemporary theatre. As with many collections, it is a mixed bag but overall the quality of the plays exceeds that of average 10 minute plays as a genre. If you are looking for good short pieces, this is a good place to start. The best pieces seemed to be front loaded, with quality diminishing somewhat toward the end of the book. ( )
An excellent anthology of plays for a community theater one-act play night or series. It contains a good mix of comedy and drama. I have directed and performed in several plays from this book and the audience gave great us rave reviews. I strongly suspect that this is due more to the quality of the material rather than the quality of our acting. ( )
