This substantial work by the curators of the National Museum of American Illustration is not just about the life and works of Parrish, but covers many other excellent illustrators of modern times, the age of magazine and book illustration. Remember those N. C. Wyeth illustrations in Robin Hood or Treasure Island? Ever see any of those wonderful illustrations for the now defunct Saturday Evening Post and other publications from the turn of the century until the 1970's in used book stores? This is about the artists in America who created them. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
