This really is aimed at around age 10 and above - - not a massively comprehensive encyclopedia - - and all the better for it if the intention is to browse to find basic, core facts/details of a person or event across the entire globe. It also has that indefinable pleasure of 'dipping' into topics one knows little or nothing about: The antidote to the relentless lists on google and other alleged search engine which leave you none the wiser as to have you accessed the site you really need or must return to look again at the list. This book replaced the book The Kingfisher Illustrated History of the World which is out of print but can be purchased sometimes on ebay for $100 or more. This book is just as good and even better than Kingfisher Illustrated History of the World.
