Inspector Morse Episode - Excellent ( ) For those of you who have followed Inspector Morse (John Thaw) throughout his filmed career on BBC mystery series, this is the best made film. Morse is ill and in hospital trying to solve a 140 year old Victorian era mystery of the death of a woman in a canal. This story shows you why he is a CHIEF Inspector...he is really thoughtful and smart. This is one of the last mystery shows with John Thaw. I believe only one more was made with him as the Inspector before the actor died. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

"On a June morning in 1859, the body of a young woman was found by the Oxford Canal. In the present day, recovering after an operation in hospital, Morse is visited by Adele Cecil (Judy Loe) and American scholar Millie Van Buren (Lisa Eichhorn) whose book on the murder becomes his preoccupation. Morse soon becomes convinced that the two boatmen publicly hanged for the murder of the respectably married Joanna Franks were the victims of a gross miscarriage of justice. Inspector Morse is joined by Adrian Kershaw (Matthew Finney), a young graduate police constable, who assists him in his investigations."--Container. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
