Just one of those I think everyone should read at some point in their lives, but not merely as a fun and comical story. So much of the richness comes from understanding the (often subtle) satirical background reflective of Twain's genius. ( ) In order to save time, we read this book in my Honors American Lit class, but skipped nearly half of it throughout the book. I'm sure my teacher ended up butchering the story for us, but I dont really mind, since I thought it was just an ok story. The the class conversations we had about it were better than actually reading it. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
