The book provides an in-depth exploration of the life cycle of butterflies, making it an exciting resource to showcase to our students. With a step-by-step guide, it offers an excellent opportunity to delve deeper into each stage of the process. Additionally, I could use this book to discuss the life cycles of other animals in our classroom. The book's clear and concise text, accompanied by digital pictures, makes it suitable for students in grades K-3. ( ) This book goes through the life cycle of a butterfly. It also talks about a few different kinds of butterflies. This could be a really cool thing to show the life cycle for our students. It takes you through step by step and you could go into more details about teach step of this process. You could also talk about all the other different animals that have a similar life cycle or a even into a different one. I think that using butterflies first is a great example that a lot of kids can have some experience seeing. This could make it more accessible to the majority of your students. This book takes the reader page by page, phase of the monarch butterfly to the next. It is easy to understand and follow exactly what the life of a Monarch butterfly is like. Embedded throughout the story, there are additional facts that deepen the understanding about the butterfly. I would read this book in the spring time to primary kids before introducing a butterfly observation lesson in the classroom. I would bring in the eggs of a monarch butterfly and have the kids make observations about what they are seeing and the changes in the cycle of the butterfly. I loved how simple this book is as well as how easy it is to follow. I think this book is great for the K-3 grades because the text and digital pictures are clear and concise. The book also provides a table of contents at the beginning of the book, fun facts and a glossary at the end, as well as a picture/diagram of the life cycle of the monarch butterfly. This is a great book to use for a read aloud because it isn't too long and also introduces or revisits the four stages of the monarch butterfly. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
