The mice appear in the kitchen trying to tip toe away from the cat. Each mouse has a number on them one through twelve. When the clock strikes midnight, they all escape back into the kitchen cuckoo clock. I know kids like the book, Boom, Chicka, Boom. So I chose this book because of the title. ( )

This book is awesome and good for first and second grade students. it is about a bunch of mice and how they tell time. i would use this book when teaching how to tell time on a clock. ( )

Sorry, doesn't work for me at all. Just because we see an analog clock image doesn't mean this book is going to help us learn how to tell time. And I agree with those who didn't see a cat in that black blob. And the plot doesn't make sense, and the meter is weird/ off. One chorus line I do like:

Everybody rock! Around the room!
Boom Chicka Rock, Chicka Rock, Chicka Boom!"

I can just hear the little ones chanting that for the rest of the day after hearing this story. ;)" ( )
