The Great Kettles is a wonderful children book full of imagination. It tells a story about a little boy finds a scientist’s in order to make a time machine. He travels through time and meets Father time and the time was stopped everywhere until the boy get back home. The pictures in this book are mixed media that even made me spent hours to explore. ( )

Genre Critique: This book is a good example of fantasy. Although none of the events in the book are real, or ever happened, the character (joey) and the plot of the story really helps the reader to push aside the unbelievable (time traveling), and travel on this crazy adventure with Joey through their reading.
Review/Critique: I loved reading this book, and found it an exciting adventure story that many kids would enjoy. Fantasy books have such fun plots that help kids to imagine new ideas and come up with new and exciting adventures and dreams.
