After the death of the majority of the X-Men, Shadow Cat and Nightcrawler form Excalibur with Captain Britain and Meggan in England. I decided to give this a read after reading a blurb about Megann on Dime Store Dames. I'm not sure if it's because I had read the blurb on Megann or if the book is just written this way but to me this was about Megann and Captain Britain's failing relationship and Shadow Cat's frustration with her "broken" powers. The building of the team and the rest of their adventures seem incidental (nothing negative on Night Crawler, but even his story seemed very focused on Meggan). With all of the interpersonal drama this almost felt more soap opera then super hero genre at times. The art style of the book speaks to the time period when it was drawn.
