I don't know if this book would have been helpful to me or not back when Chazan Jenna was teaching me to read (leyn) Torah tropes. She picked one of about 22 nusachim for me specifically because of my voice, and this book does not mention that (of course it looks like it is really just meant to be an introduction), and I admit that the art of being Baal or Baalat Koreh really does require a personal hand to guide one through the beginning steps. Nevertheless, this is a nice guide for the various holiday changes in trope, and also mentions the Romaniot and other traditional nusachs, which are quite different from Ashkenazi or Mizrachi, Sphardi and Temani nusachs. Nice. Also nice that it explains the ptuach and stumah in the Tikkun.
