This hilarious version of "The Three Little Pigs" is a uniquely written tale that children of all ages will enjoy. The wolf in the story names the pigs "Ham, Bacon and Sausage," and attempts to destroy the little pigs. However, in the end, good prevails and the wolf ends up with a changed heart in this cleverly written childrens' book. ( )

This is a little different story of the three little pigs than the others. The pigs in this book make waffles. The morals of the story are still the same as the others. ( )

The Three Little Pigs were also one of my favorites to read as a child. In this version these pigs want to open a waffle shop. A little different from what I remember as a child. However this wolf did not want waffles but wanted the pigs. Each pig built himself a house one of straw, wood and brick. Each pig thought their house would keep the wolf away. The wolf came to each pigs house and blew it down except the pig with the brick house. The pig with the brick house managed to save himself and his brothers from the wolf. In the ending of this book the wolf gets thrown in pot6 of hot water and taken out to have himself doused with maple syrup until he gives up. In this book the illustrations capture your interest and your constantly watching to see what happens next. The mood of the book is cheerful, fun and makes you feel like you are a part of the stories plot line in the book.

I had mixed feelings about this book because when I began reading it I had exceptions that it would be like the original story of the three little pigs. Although it is very close to the original story there are some parts that are different. For example the pigs all work at a family business and that is how they have the money to build all the houses. I did like the story because the book pushes the reader to think about different points of view, and how the pig see's it or how the wolf see's the story. Although parts of the story line is different, the Characters are all pretty much the same. The pigs are still brothers and there are still three of them and the wolf is still seen as the "big bad wolf". The main idea of the story is to show students that students should make decisions that are logical. ( )

Amazing book! I enjoyed this book as a child. The writing of this story flows well in a scaffolding manner. The author continuously keeps the reader trying to predict the next part of the story. Such as when the wolf keeps coming back to see the pig and the pig would continue to outsmart the wolf. The book pushes the readers to think deeper when it comes to being a bully. The main message of the book, to me, is about bullying. I think it serves an important message to children that they should never bully another person. And I also think the book showed the little pigs sticking up to the wolf which is also important for children to see. For example when they have the boiling pot of water hanging from the bottom of the chimney. It shows children the consequences of being a bully!
