Illustrator: Larry Johnson
Publisher: Scholastic
Date: 1982
Pages: 48
Type: Biography
Summary: It talks about Harriet's life and how she was born as a slave. She lived in Maryland. It talks about all the struggles and hard times she went through growing up. She is known as one of the greatest women of her time because she helped people escape through the underground rail road and set many slaves free! She was a wonderful woman.
I really enjoyed this book, it also saddened me to read. The fact that she had to deal with this and had to be a slave at such a young age really hurts me. But I'm so glad she was able to help people to freedom. It was great reading about her life!
