The book "Girls Who Rocked the World" is an amazing compilation of famous women throughout history that have made significant impacts on the world in one way or another. The biographies were presented in a story type manner which I found very interesting and I feel like it held my attention much better than the standard biography layout. I felt the stories were very thorough and one of my favorites was Virginia Reed's, a story about how she impacted the world of pioneering. A great extension activity for this book would be to write a passage about the 3 biographies that stuck out to them the most and why. Another extension activity would be to have students write about their favorite woman role model and how that person has impacted their life. ( ) This book has looks of good information, but not a lot of scientists. The book has athletes, writers, and scientists that are all women. The information is good, but all the people are not scientists. The book has very few scientists that were women. I give this book a 3 of 5 because of that. The book is good for doing biographies for a class project. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
