If you are not familiar with Gorey’s work, there’s that too. These words come to mind: obscure, absurd, enigmatic, compelling, charming. Meaningful and yet hard to say exactly what the meaning might be. I recommend this book. And I can promise one thing: it will not require a large commitment of your time!
