First edition as new Another Spenser story with Hawk, Vinnie, Cholo and some other thugs. This time Spenser takes an out of town job in California. The town of Potshot is out in the Southern California desert. A gang of criminal types is shaking down the local merchants and driving away business. But is something else going on the isn't visible on the surface? If there is will Spenser get to the bottom of it? And will there be violence and sexy women? It's a Spenser story so of course there will be. This novel was from 2001, there are still more Spenser novels before the series ended with the authors death in 2010.
