Simply cute. X is a letter for tic-tac-toe, Z is for zipper and zips. ( ) I liked this book for a a few reasons. First, I think it is a great book to teach young children the alphabet. Not only is the reader/listener learning the letters of the alphabet, but the book gives examples with illustrations of each letter with an objects that begin with that letter so they are learning also the sounds. It gives illustrations of each letter example as well. An example of this is A is for apple. The reader/listener is able to see apple and relate the letter to the object. The message behind this story is to teach the alphabet as well as sounds and objects that also begin with that letter. This book is great for teaching preschoolers the alphabet letters while using objects that represent the letter. We start on a journey from A for the Apple Tree to Z for ZZZZZipper. We enter the apple tree and meet a family of chipmunks who have friends donkey and goat. This book takes you on a journey with the chipmunks who live in the tree and their adventures. This book does feature some unrealistic things like the chipmunk racing the donkey-they are swimming in the river. This may be a slight downfall but I feel for 4 and 5 year olds it is good to read some books with a bit of imagination and a bit of silly. This would be a time to talk about, wait can donkeys swim in the water? What animals can swim in water? geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
