Mom does all the work around the house so when she leaves the father and sons turn into pigs (literally). ( ) This book is about a family, the Piggott's, and how the mom does all the work around the house while her husband and two sons don't assist her. Mrs. Piggott leaves because of the lack of effort her family puts in and how ungrateful they are of her. In the end, Mrs. Piggott comes back and the boys learn how to appreciate all the things Mrs. Piggott does for them, and they even do some thing around the house too. PiggyBook is one of those books that really makes you think about how much gender identity and gender roles have taken a huge toll on our world today. Women are set out to be the ones who clean and cook and do most of the stay at home jobs as too were men are set to go out and "provide for the family." I enjoyed how a kids book touched on this topic. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
