The wind blows in something feathery and plump: a bird, and something wiggly and pink: a worm, and something green, who hops and leaps: a frog. But before it's time to go back inside, Mouse finds something that's soft and new with petals: the prettiest flower he's ever seen! Could it mean spring is "finally" here? The New York Times bestselling Mouse is back, and he's discovering the magic of spring and the many changes that blossom around him. But Mouse learns some things never change with the seasons: Momma's love for him and his love for his momma." -- Scholastic, Inc. I liked this book for three main reasons. First, I liked how there are many rhyming words that are located throughout the story. I especially loved how the author made those rhyming words in a variety of colorful print to make those words stand out to the reader. For example, there are rhyming words located throughout the story in colorful print, such as glittery and flittery, fluttery and buttery, hidey and insidey, dip and flip, along with many other rhyming words. Second, I liked how the author in the story was extremely descriptive. For example, the author using words to describe what’s going on throughout the story with descriptive words, such as windy, feathery, plump, peeping, along with many other descriptive words. Third, I liked how the author asked the characters and reader throughout the story a variety of questions, such as “What can it be?”. It repeats that question throughout the story, which would be a delightful book for shared reading. The big idea of this story is about different things that happen throughout time when it turns to the season spring. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
