This book although in poetry style provides you with a pretty good idea of who Diego Rivera was and what has life was like. It was a fun and easy read considering the length. I think the way the book was organized was pretty clever as well. Each chapter is organized into a poem title and talks about a different aspect of his life. ( )

"Diego :Bigger Than Life" is the biography of Diego Rivera. The book has a heavy focus on Diego's relationships and his art or more specifically what the art meant to him. I feel as if the book wanted to be a narrative while still being pure biography and because of this it feels incomplete. I feel as if im missing an ending that is owed to me for finishing the book. The rest of it is beautiful though, the book catches very subtle things about Diego and his multiple lovers. It's a surprisingly honest book to say it wasn't written by Diego himself.

This was a very enjoyable book about the life of an artist Diego Rivera. This book allowed me to follow the story of his life from birth and all throughout his greatest accomplishments. Each page has a beautifully painted picture along with some writings about the artist's life. It seemed that the pictures often told a story within themselves. This book is not only informative but very enjoyable to read. ( )

Summary: This book is about the life Diego Rivera who was born in Mexico but then later travels to Europe to learn about painting. After a while he return back to mexico because his heart belong to his people.
Review: Great book. This a harder reading to do. Though what parents must understand is that Diego did have some affairs so the are told in this book in detail so you must be careful when reading it to a child.
Class: Can use to teach about the art history of Mexico and the life of Diego
