The Wheeling Decorating Company of Wheeling, West Virginia, was one of the outstanding companies that decorated china, pottery and porcelain during the first half of the 20th century. This company, often referred to as WDCO or Wheeling, decorated items (purchased blanks) from more than 500 companies around the world. The wide range of designs used by Wheeling is the work of a team of skilled craftsmen who sometimes added the Wheeling logo to their pieces, but often did not. Because many pieces were not marked, there has been a need for a reference on this company, and Collector Books is proud to publish the first. People who are glass collectors from America's glass belt along and close to the Ohio River will find this WDCO book to be of particular help in identifying etched gold and enameled items they might have in their collections. Filled with more than 550 detailed photographs, pricing information, and historical data. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
