This book is great for teachers or parents to show the magic of what it is to be human. It shows us how everything around us uses energy to live and work. Want to teach photosynthesis? This is the book for that. It's a easy read and I would recommend it. ( ) This is a great way to teach younger kids about photosynthesis and how all life on earth works and operates. The books might have had some terms that are a little advanced for children but that could open up to discussion and they could learn more. I thoroughly enjoyed the illustration in the book. the illustrations are very detailed, warm and colorful. Since today is Earth Day, I had the motivation to get a head start on my science books collection. I really believe that with science, it is important to get a variety of sciences to teach children. I tried to make my six books very broad and diverse, since science is my favorite subject. I think it is very important to teach children about the concept of things like this, such as how the earth's systems work. Even I learned some new information from "Living Sunlight", as it explained the process of photosynthesis in a beautiful way. Living Sunlight: How Plants Bring the Earth to Life is a decent introductory book about photosynthesis and its subsequent effects on all life on earth. The text is age appropriate for young elementary grades, and I imagine it would be a good start to conversations on the subject. I thought the illustrations were pretty, but rather busy and occasionally overwhelming. I think that simpler illustrations would have aided the dissemination of information in the text; as it stands, they take away from it. Overall, my takeaway is that there are probably better books on the subject out there. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
