Susie's father does everything he can think of to get Susie to take a nap. They go on a walk, do some exercises, read stories, sing songs, drink water, lay in bed... They do all of these tiring things and Susie continues to say no nap. Her father ends up falling asleep right before her mother comes home! Great and funny for first and second graders. http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/b/eve-bunting/ This website gives a brief biography of Eve Bunting and shows all of her books. This book is about a little girl named Susie who did not want to take a nap because she was not tired. Her dad tried several things in hopes to make Susie tired; they took a walk, read stories, and played around the house. Still, Susie was not tired, and before long, her dad was the one who fell asleep. This is a good book to read to children in kindergarten or first grade. One good time to read it is before nap time because it has to do with the struggles of getting a young child to go to sleep. Another good time to read this is when talking about family because it has to do with a girl spending alot of time with her dad. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
