I like Virginia Henley, but I did not like this book. Jasmine was horrible throughout. She never showed any growth - she was a selfish spoiled brat to the very end. The only reason this book didn't get a 1 star rating is because I liked Falcon's character. I would be interested to know if the voluptary aspects of King John and Queen Isabella are true. ( )

These EARLY Virginia Henley books cannot be beat for Historical Romance. Sadly her later works do not compare. Her "The ____ and the ____" series are far and away the best Historical Romances I have ever read. ( )
