This one has an awful lot about the start of the Roseanne show and how she got started, from doing stand up and then scoring the TV show. She talks about meeting Tom Arnold while still on the stand up circuit and then their affair and then relationship after the start of the show. Her life with her first husband Bill who was never very supportive of here. She talks about her family and her sisters. There are a few chapters in regards to her parents and the horrible home life she had as a child. If you liked the Roseanne show this is a good book to read. She talks the same in the Roseanne show as she talks in person or in this book, with the book you see her as more intelligent then we saw in the show though. ( ) Read it and weep for Ms Arnold. Her childhood smacks of abuse and her climbing out of the chaos is a story needing to be told. The transition from stand-up stardom, when everyone knew her jokes were hers, to the world of producers and writers who thought nothing of taking credit or her material is revealed in the book, and brings new light to her struggle for personal power. Roseanne tells it like it is, and talks about her personal life, even though her soulmate, Tom Arnold, is no longer in her life . If you liked her show, if you like her humor, if you like her...run out and get this book at your library or bookstore. You won't be disappointed. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
