From the back cover I had a pretty good idea what was going on with this story and I proved myself right. Zoe McNamara is attracted to two guys, Jed Calhoun and Ethan Blair; one blonde and one dark. She's conflicted because she's attracted equally to them, which one will she choose or can she have both?

Pretty predictable but quite readable. (

I had high hopes for this one. The blurb made the premise sound intriguing, and I was curious how it would all play out. But I was very disappointed to find the 'hook' glaringly obvious very early on (the first few pages?). I found that supposed setup so annyong that I could't even bring myself to finish the book. It didn't help that the writing didn't exactly keep me hooked, either. That's the problem with high concept. If the concept doesn't deliver the punch, the rest usually doesn't stand on its own. (
