Media: photography Age Appropriateness: Intermediate I could use this book as an interactive read aloud for a 5th grade class when teaching students about organisms and ecosystems, I chose to do an interactive read aloud to involve students in the learning of an organism in a fun way. I chose 5th grade because for common core standards, 5th grade is when organisms and ecosystems are introduced and taught to students. Students can compare and contrast dolphins and other types of different whales and students can describe the new facts that they have learned about dolphins. This book can be used to inform children on one of the mammals that lives in the ocean, the dolphin. This would be good for grades 3-5 to read, and use as a reference book since it is informational and fact based. Teachers can leave this in their classroom book collection for students to use when working in science classes that may be studying sea animals but also to read for leisure as well. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
