My kids loved this book! They were on the edge of their seats trying to think of what the mysterious gift might be. Delphine gets a note saying there is a gift for her at the post office from her grandmother. Delphine travels down the hill she lives on and goes on an incredible journey in order to reach the post office to receive her gift. She is afraid of her gift and nervous to use it for a variety of reasons. But as she travels, she faces those same fears along her path and when she gets her gift, she ultimately falls in love with it. ( )

Delphine is a little girl who gets a letter from the mailman saying that she has a package from her grandmother waiting at the post office. She goes through many emotions and thinks she knows what it is that she has waiting on her. When she gets there it is a new bike and she is very pleased.
