A family favorite. The story is clever, but the detailed and hilarious illustrations hit this one out of the park.

It's all about the pictures - and they are indeed absurd. Chickens who are usually content in their feathers put on swimsuits to dive down the well. Chickens carry sheep out of the forest. Alrighty then. (

in the book Chickens to the Rescue the writer focuses on days of the week. The chickens are trying to help people that are in trouble but in the process they end up making a mess. This book teaches that even when we do not understand or like when someone does something, they might have their best intentions at heart. (
