I do like the book, especially as an informative book for children. The book is laid out in chapters that are easy to follow. Key words like "guidance" or "tolerant" are bolded for the reader. The book also has captioned pictures, and little did you know sections to spark reader interest. It is all nonfiction, facts about the Muslim holiday Ramadan. The language is easy to follow, and the pictures bright and colorful. It is a great tool for teaching diversity. ( ) I liked the book, "Ramadan." I liked this book because it was informational. I learned a lot about Ramadan that I did not know before. For example, I did not know that Ramadan was an entire month, or that it was time to strengthen family and friend relationships. Furthermore, I liked how the book talked about things outside of Ramadan because I learned more about the Islamic culture. For instance, I learned about Sahoor, a meal eaten before sunrise, and iftar, a meal eaten after sunset. Lastly, the main idea of the story was Ramadan and the islamic culture. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar during which Muslims across the world observe daytime fasting for a whole month. It is believed that it was during this month that the first verses from the Koran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. Ramadan ends with Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the most important festivals in the Islamic religion. The practices observed throughout this holy month are detailed in a simple and informative manner.
