Sometimes the truth hurts.... Reed Brennan came to superposh Easton Academy to make a brand-new life for herself. At first it seemed as though her dream had come true-she was living in the ultraexclusive Billings Hall, hanging out with the all-powerful Billings Girls, and dating the very hot Thomas Pearson. But Thomas turned out to be different from what she thought...and then he turned up dead. And if that wasn't twisted enough, Reed's new boyfriend, Josh Hollis, was arrested for Thomas's murder. Now everyone is back to worrying about the regular stuff, like how to sneak to the boys' dorms at night, whether two-ply cashmere is warm enough for fall, and whether to fly to London or Barcelona for Thanksgiving break. Everyone except for Reed. Reed is convinced that Josh is innocent, which means the killer is still out there. Now it's up to Reed to uncover the truth. But the deeper she digs, the more secrets she unearths and the closer she gets to the confession that will change everything...if she's alive to hear it.… (meer)

Confessions is about a girl called Reed Brennan, a scholarship student that goes to the prestigious school, Easton Academy. Reed goes to Easton to start a new life for herself. Her dreams had come true; she was living in the ultra-exclusive Billings Hall, hanging with the powerful Billings girls and going out with the very attractive Thomas Pearson. Unfortunately Thomas turned out to be different from what she thought, and then he was found dead. It got even more complicated when Reed’s new boyfriend, Josh Hollis, was arrested for Thomas’s murder. Reed is convinced that Josh is innocent and that the killer is still out there. Her boyfriend’s arrest drives her to uncover the truth and find the person responsible……but sometimes, the truth hurts and she might not be alive to hear it. I thought that this book was incredible, it was a book that I couldn't put down, I went to bed at one in the morning reading, because I couldn't stop. The reason why I liked this book, is because the events that happened are so unexpected that you’re shocked and just want to keep reading .This book is full of mysteries, twists and turns that it is impossible to guess the ending. Another reason why I liked this book is because the author describes the events, scenes and character emotions extremely well that you can get a clear view in your head, what it would look like, it's as if your there with Reed. I would highly recommend this book for people who like drama, thriller/mystery and romance; it is a very good read.

The Thomas Pearce murder mystery is SOLVED! Or is it?

Reed's newest boyfriend, Josh, was turned into the police for the murder of Thomas Pearce in the last PRIVATE book, UNTOUCHABLE. But to Reed, Josh is anything but a killer.

Now in CONFESSIONS, Reed has to not only prove to the police but also the Billings Girls and everyone else at Easton Academy that Josh is not the one that murdered Thomas. But how can she if no one else really believes her? Well, Noelle's boyfriend and Josh's best friend, Dash, are certain that Josh didn't do it and will definitely help Reed prove it, if only Noelle wouldn't be so suspicious.

But while Reed is playing Nancy Drew, everyone else at Easton Academy seems to be getting back to their lives, especially the other Billings Girls, who just want to party and really want Reed to get over Josh and the murder. But, of course, things at Easton still have to be weird for everyone. Take Noelle - it seems like there is someone out there in the world who would actually step up to her and outdo her. And that person is a Billings Girl. Arianna seems to be getting a little meaner toward Reed, and Taylor is still nowhere to be found or heard from.

Can Reed clear Josh's name? And will the murder of Thomas Pearce finally be solved? There just may be plenty of confessions in this next installment of the PRIVATE series.

Kate Brian does it once again with CONFESSIONS. As always, she makes sure to add twists and turns along with plenty of secrets and drama. And, with this book, she leaves the reader with the most shocking ending to date.

If you cannot wait for INNER CIRCLE to be released, I suggest you wait to read CONFESSIONS until it's out, because you'll need that next book! ( )

Now that a suspect has been arrested for Thomas’s murder, the student body tries to return to normalcy. Finals are coming up and everyone is looking forward to winter break. Everyone, except Reed. Reed doesn’t believe Josh could kill his best friend. She takes matters in her own hands and starts her own investigation. When Reed discovers the truth about what really happened the night Thomas was killed, she will question her decision to come to Easton Academy.

Confessions is a quick read. When the killer’s identity is revealed, we also learn the history between this person and Thomas. So, the question is, how does this affect the Billings Girls? Stay tuned for Inner Circle. ( )

I think this is the best in the Private series: a lot of loose ends have been tied up quite nicely, true identities revealed, veneer of glamour stripped away; we're finally down to the nitty-gritty side of Easton Academy.

Now everyone is back to worrying about the regular stuff, everyone except for Reed. She's convinced that Josh is innocent, which means the killer is still out there. Now it's up to Reed to uncover the truth. But the deeper she digs, the more secrets she unearths and the closer she gets to the confession that will change everything...if she's alive to hear it.

I thought that by the way everything was summed up in a neat package of a plot with this one, that this'll be the end of the series. I don't know how Brian will be Iable to take the story much further but I guess i'll just have to find out for myself with "Inner Circle".

You musn't miss the diabolical twist at the end. Made this bitch lit of a series so worth it! I must admit that I really didn't see that one coming.

Reed Brennan's stint at posh Easton Academy just keeps on getting worse. Her ex-boyfriend was murdered, and at the end of Untouchable, her new boyfriend was arrested for the crime. Can we say awkward?

Despite the conviction of the Billings Girls in general, Reed can't believe that Josh was responsible. With the help of Dash McCafferty (who would have thought he'd turn out to be useful?), Reed begins her own investigation to confirm Josh's alibi and discovers an ill-advised affair, more of the Billings Girls' dark secrets, and maybe even the reason they're so eager to shove the blame onto one of their former friends.

So Kate Brian finally resolved the plotline that had me rushing through these books, and it was a doozy of a resolution, too. Parts of it I had already figured out, but there were definitely unexpected twists and turns as well. The very end seemed a bit overly dramatic (we had the villain monologuing... monologuing is never a great idea), but given how drawn out the build-up has been, I wanted a big bang of a conclusion. I got it.

Here the Billings Girls seem more and more self-centered and on the road to destruction, and in her grief, Reed gets some real backbone and even stands up to Miss Queen Bee herself. She also shows that she's matured by showing real compassion for the dean's secretary. And I'm always happier when scholarship students who have to keep their grades up in order to stay in the ridiculously prestigious prep schools actually do some studying. But my real point was, this is the first installment in the Private series that made me like Reed.

Considering that this wrapped up all of the mystery plot threads that had me turning pages, I'm a little concerned that the rest of the books will lose momentum. But I'm willing to try another. ( )
