Erica's sister invited Allie, Caroline, Rosemary and Sophie to her Twirltacular baton competition this weekend . Allie says she will go her mom if she can go. When she gets home she was about to ask her mom if she can go but her mom cuts her off and says that Brittany Hauser's mom called and she invited her to Brittany birthday party and they are going to all the places that Allie dreamed to go to. After her mom was done talking she finally told her mom about Erica's sister's competition and her mom said that she had to choose one the birthday party or the competition. Allie did not want to hurt her friends but she wanted to go to the party. She decided to go to the party and lie to her friends so that she could go to the party. Brittney starter to be so nasty and bossy to Allie . She started to regent choosing to go to the birthday and not the competition. Will she call some one to pick her up or will she just stay with Brittney?
I think this is the best book out of the series that I have read yet. I like it so much because of the rules she made up. The rules this time can help you more in life or going though life. It also shows young readers that it is not nice to lie and it is easier to telling the truth. I rated this book with 5 stars because t is my favorite out of the series so far. Also because it has lots of lessons to them. Finally because I has lots of detail and I live the rules. ( )

Erica’s sister, Missy, is competing in the Twilacular. Allie is so excited that Erica has asked Allie and their closest friends to attend the competition. Unfortunately Allie’s mom made plans for Allie to attend a birthday party on the same day.

Brittany Hauser, a frenemy from Allie’s former school, is having a big birthday celebration. Her parents are renting a BMW SUV limo to take them into the city to go to Glitterati (the IT store), dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and a night in an expensive hotel. Despite her strong dislike for Brittany (you shouldn’t hate anyone – it’s a rule), Allie wants to go to check out Glitterati to see what everyone is raving about. How can she go after she told Erica she would attend Missy’s competition? Allie exaggerates why she has to go and soon it spins out of control.

Allie quickly learns that sometimes the most expensive and exciting thing isn’t always as great as it may seem. ( )

Her mom already told her old friends that she was going to be at the Glitterati party, but Allie is torn as to which one she should go to. Will Allie make the right choice?

A humorous realistic fiction story that is fun to read. The characters are well-developed and memorable; the plot is believable and realistic. Readers who like Meg Cabot and have read the other ALLIE FINKLE'S RULES FOR GIRLS books, along with realistic fiction fans, will all enjoy GLITTER GIRLS AND THE GREAT FAKE OUT. ( )
