This is a fun little book, in a Q & A format, divided into sections about feeding backyard birds, becoming a better birdwatcher, migration, behavior, etc. It's a nice book to dip into if you only have a few minutes, and even readers who know a bit about birds are bound to learn something -- for example, did you know that chickadees replace their brain cells so that they can keep acquiring new information? Or that loons can winter on the ocean because they are able to cry salty tears? Or that ducks have been observed swimming down a rough current, then flying back up and doing it all over again, as if they're doing it for fun?
