Mommy and Daddy are going out 2. the feisty heroine of this book is not going out... 3. and she doesn’t like that one bit! Parents, kids, and babysitters alike will relate to–and laugh at–this all-too-familiar tale, wisely and wittily penned by an expert in child development and brought wickedly to life. A lovely book about a kid who doesn't want her parents to go out. One thing, there is a picture of the kid pouring milk and on the carton it says 150% half milk. Which I think was meant to say 150% 2/3rds milk which would be whole milk. 150% half milk is a carton that contains only 75% milk. But the book is very good and the illustrator is wonderful. Little girl is fearful of her parents going out for an evening. She tries many things to get them to stay but they keep insisting she will be alright and will have fun with the babysitter. She discovers that her babysitter is quite fun and her parents did come home to her just like they said they would. Age: 3-8 Source: Puyallup Library This cute little book is about a little girl who does everything she can to convince her parents not to go out and leave her home with a babysitter. But the babysitter shows up anyway and her parents go out. She winds up having so much fun with the babysitter. I might share the book with these questions: How do you feel when your parents go out and tell you that you have a babysitter? Do you think you need a babysitter? Who usually babysits you when your parents cant? Do you babysit your younger siblings? I would have them come up with another name for "babysitter" geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
