Randomly chosen from my pile(s) of books and it is book 91 of 2011 - aim 133 books in 2011 Quite a funny book about love and romance writing. Jack writes romance novels under a pseudonym and would love to be taken seriously, even if he's raking it in. His sister asks him to take in Molly, a woman who has lost her job because of a false accusation of discrimantion against her inept assistant, she's also addicted to sex. When Molly decides to get involved in writing romances as well, things start to hot up, and Jack's muse starts to dry up, and also argue with him. Some of the best scenes are those involving imaginary conversatons with the characters they're trying to write about. Real fun. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
"Thoroughly amusing...Her sendup of romance novels is spot on...A very funny, very clever, very adult novel."--Washington Post Jack Carter, born-again virgin and bestselling romance author, has a problem, and her name is Molly. Foisted upon him by his sister, Molly has just been fired from her high-paying management position for sexually harassing her male assistant. She's also been evicted from her apartment, and has landed--for just a few weeks, she promises--in Jack's Georgetown town house. Worse yet, she decides to take advantage of her new environment and try her hand at writing romances herself, using the pseudonym Molly Desire. Molly's novel is racy and explicit, and blows the covers off Jack's tender and traditional plots and relationships. Just how far will their professional (and personal) competition go?
