This Chick Tract is more or less an instructional guide to the review process that one's life goes through after death. Starting with the death of an unnamed upper-class fellow (we see him in a turtleneck smoking a pipe and drinking scotch next to his sports car with a TV playing violent movies in the background just before his death), we're taken through the motions of the soul acquisition and review process, as our bewildered and disbelieving everyman ("I simply refuse to believe this is happening to me!") is carried from his grave by a giant angel and taken before the lord to watch a recording of his entire life. The poor soul withers in shame as he is forced to witness himself committing such grievous sins as telling dirty stories ("Not that story - Not here!"), leering at attractive women, and not paying attention in church. Because of his repeated lapses of faith and good judgment ("I must have been insane!"), his name does not appear in the Book of Life, and so he is cast into the lake of fire for all eternity. So clean up your act, sinners, or this could be YOUR life! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

The prototype for all that followed. Memorable and lacking in any anti-Catholic or anti-anything else nonsense. Just the fear of the lake of fire. (Still ridiculous of course, but my Chick tract ratings are limited to 2 stars, and this earns the maximum!) ( )
