Quite literally. Some of them will leave you reeling. To be on the safe side, I reckon you should only read one or two at a time. I'm not sure what their cumulative impact might be. But one at a time they are witty, clever and well crafted observations of life, with a great variation of form, structure and style. The tightly focussed scenes are perhaps a legacy of Sheldon's experience as a scriptwriter, but it is the emotional depth she puts into each story that really packs a punch. If you like short stories this is certain to please and deserves to be more widely available. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
