She has been in love with watching birds since middle school. The poems are about her observations while watching the birds. Summary: The Robin makes a laughing sound has a look of a journal. Inside this journal are descriptions of different types of birds and poems that go along with that same theme. Personal reaction: This book was not as interesting as other poem books I have read. It was hard keeping my attention focused because it seems as if you are reading the same thing over and over again. There are a few poems that are sweet. The art in my opinion could have been more exciting to make the poems more interesting. Classroom Extension Ideas: I would not choose to use this book in any lessons but if I had to I would choose one of the poems as an introduction to a bird lesson, or pass it around for a sampling of journaling. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
