Great story! I loved the relationship between Eshe and Armand as well as finding out what happened to all the women in Armand's life. Another great addition to the Argeneau story! (

Not the best book in the series but not the worst either. I liked that this book had a bit of a mystery to solve and it answered a question I had from a previous book. I liked the change from past stories.

I also liked the characters in this one. I just wished we had gotten to know more about Eshe, especially her children. The plot was decent but there was one problem that kept bugging and I don't want to discuss it in detail because it will spoil the story. You will know what I am talking about if you read the book.

Despite the few relative minor things I enjoyed this one and look forward to reading the next book in the series. (

probably one of my favorites. it's so great that Nicholas,(sp), Thomas, and Jeannie all have their father back. but how weird do you think it would be having Eshe (sp) as their soon to be step-mommie? I always love Ms. Sands books, they're enjoyable, highly entertaining, quirky, comical, filled with heat. I will be immensely sad when this series comes to and end. (

Engaging but fairly predictable, the characters were interesting but the plot felt a bit lacking for me, I didn't really feel like I got to know the characters outside their wacky hi-jinks and having to escape firey death at every turn, at the same time it was an engaging read and kept me wanting to know who did it and why.

Light, enjoyable but I wouldn't really read it again. (

Eshe d'Aureus je poslána k Armandovi Argeneau pod záminkou, že potřebuje bezpečný úkryt, ale ve skutečnosti je u něj kvůli své práci vykonavatele upíří Rady. Musí zjistit proč všešchny Armandovi bývalé manželky tak záhadně zemřely a jak je do toho zapletený jeho syn Nicholas, který je obviněn, stejně jako jeho otec, ze zabití vlastní ženy. Eshe je Nicholasovou poslední nadějí na záchranu před popravou, kterou nespáchal.
Eshe souhlasila s tímto úkolem,ale rozhodně nečekala, že se zamiluje do hlavního podezřelého (
