Preface / This work grew out of an intensive study in the preparation of a general history of Blanco County, Texas. In searching through the tax assessment rolls of Blanco County from the beginning of the county through the early 1870's, many items of information pertaining to the early settlers were extracted as to the time they appeared on the tax rolls for the first time, where they settled as identified by the land owned by them and their various types of property.

ALBERTHAL, John A. -- a brother of Mrs. Julius Klett, was one of the early settlers in the Rocky Community of Blanco County, Texas.
