Pigs on a farm want to pitch in and help with all of the farm chores. The family who owns the farm lets them help, but it turns out they aren't a lot of help and they actually cause a lot issues on the farm.

This book is very fun! It is just a fun read about pigs who cause trouble on a farm. Super fun and short read. ( )

While the pictures in this book are a bit small for a large group read aloud, it was great for small group stations/rotations.
While the book does not overtly says that the pigs are the opposite of helpful, detailed pictures support students' search for what was really going on between people 'needing help' and the way the pigs 'helped'. ( )

These pigs are trying to help their community but everything is just a mess. This book can show children how to help their community. ( )

Fun! I loved looking for the next pig coming, so I am sure kids will love that. ( )

This was a really great children's book. The entire message of the book might become a little confusing for some children. The moral of the story is a little difficult to find simply because the characters which are the pigs, they are trying to help, but in the end they just seem to be messing things up. Some children might become confused by this, but if able to express their own findings and connections with the story I think the thoughts they have will be very rewarding. ( )
