He suggests the reader imagine a spacecraft photographing the globe from this period, showing the movement of peoples. Today, as we see a migration from south of the US border to the United States and the dispersion of Lations and their language and culture we have a template from which to view this earlier migration. Since the author wrote the book to compact his impressions of longer books, it is especially useful for the individual with a shorter amount of reading time and an opportunity to digest this 200 year history of migration in fewer pages. And if, as in my case you can actually trace forebears to this period it is especially interesting. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
