Het verhaal wordt verteld door Beatrice. Ze vertelt aan Wright (advocaat van het OM) over de vermissing van en de moord op haar zusje. Ze blikt terug en uit haar verhaal op te maken is de moordenaar bekend en moet ze nu getuigen. Soms is het verhaal moeilijk te volgen, omdat het enerzijds vanuit de hoofdpersoon verteld wordt in de 'ik-vorm'. De dialogen met Wright staan tussen aanhalingstekens, maar tussendoor spreekt ze ook tegen haar overleden zus. Je moet dus goed blijven opletten tegen wie ze op dat moment spreekt. Deze manier van schrijven was vooral in het begin lastig, maar het went na een tijdje. Vermakelijk verhaal maar niet bijzonder. ( )
