So far this is outstanding. It must be, right? It's only 77 pages and I can't even wait to finish it before writing about it. Dr. Beeke has a vast knowledge of the practices and writings of the great Puritans that have gone before us. Both English and early American. He draws from their writings in wonderful ways to illustrate to us and urge upon us the importance of proper sermon hearing and corporate prayer attending.

The chapter on preparing to hear a sermon is fantastic and I recommend that all Dad's read it once a week in preparation for Sunday service with their families.

It's books like these that I love. They draw from deep, solid reformed theology but give practical, real and manageable(by God's grace!) principles for application in every day Christian living.
