This book was part of the 'package' for Roco's 'Museum Series' model of 310.23, a locomotive from before the First World War that holds the same place in the Austrian consciousness as the 'Flying Scotsman' does in the British. It was the motive power of choice for the Orient Express in the heyday of that train.
The book details the history of the class, the story of the preservation of 310.23, and the production of the Roco model. 310.23 can today be seen at the museum at Strasshof, just outside Vienna. It does occasional railtour work.… (meer)
