This is an alphabet book which helps show the different forms of writing. Examples are autobiography’s, plays, letters, journals, invitations etc. We take a look at not only the alphabet but lots of writing types that we can use in and out of school.

Shows kids how important numbers are in everyday life. The examples are your address, room number, grade, team numbers etc. Would be a great book to read before starting math concepts or learning number identification.

This is a realistic fiction book about writing. The book goes through each letter of the alphabet and gives examples of things to write about for each letter, then asks you about what you have written lately. It is a book used to stimulate and give students ideas about what to write about. I would use this for 3rd grade classes when they are having trouble thinking of topics to write about.
