Good book for starting research into textiles in the Middle East. It's not amazing; the work could stand to be longer, and have more details. She tends to focus on what I consider to be odd bits of the various Empires she evaluates, at times.
However, it's the only modern work of it's kind, as other works focus on one group or another.
