I was utterly confused throughout the whole book. What is the Disc and what exactly happened at Discfall? And I know what the Echo is mostly and that it comes from the north, but what does it say? And what's in the north that it draws people there, only to never return?
I guess the author's intention was to keep me in suspense all along. He did drop some hints, but eventually I wanted answers to these questions. I have a vague idea about what happened, but I'm not sure.

Things just seemed to be happening one after the other, there was no stopping this story. One problem got solved and they fell right into another. There was very little breathing room between the events.

I'm starting to get annoyed with characters who think they're not good for anyone, "I'm a monster, I don't deserve you, you should find someone who will treat you right". Ero is exactly that broody alpha, who doesn't let himself be happy.

I'm not sure how I feel about Wren. A few times he seemed a prideful, defiant omega, which I liked. But he was also spoilt an pampered, and I know that's absolutely not his fault, but ugh. :( His naiveté however, how he looked at the world with wonder, was endearing.

I expected something would happen with the world. Something good. That everything would be all right eventually. But I guess it's not that kind of story. I just wasn't ready for the utter hopelessness that grew with each chapter. And I think that was my biggest problem. Everything felt so glum. It was not a happy story.

Otherwise it would have been a beautifully spun tale if I got an explanation to the above mentioned questions. I was intrigued by the merging of the apocalyptic and ABO world, but didn't particularly like the execution.

The part the author warned me about, THAT... I did not like. 😣 It's no one's fault, but mine. The warning is not in the blurb, I checked just now. It's at the beginning of the book. Read the sample.
