Samuel Shepheard of Cairo door Michael Bird
Workmanlike biography of Samuel Shepheard, heavily relying on an archive of letters from Shepheard. Includes chapters on his friends in Cairo and also some information about guests at Shepheards Hotel. Alas the Guestbook to the hotel didn't survive the inferno in the 1950s that destroyed the hotel.
