Had to downgrade my rating of this book because while I enjoyed the other two stories, "The Widow Thief" was so boring I could not finish it.
A girl is sucked in a twister to find herself in 1851 wagon train to Oregon.
Men seek her attentions if only to gain more landgrant though marriage but Annie Faraday is too independent to be a slave for the land and simply a broodmare. Accepting that she can never go back to the future, she wants to stake a claim on the land and Luke McCord is the help she needs.
Not much on time travel, not much on the girl's spunk. She does get spunky at the begining of the book but then it dies down in the middle.
Even without time travel, it can stand.… (meer)
