2717 The British General Election of 1992, by David Butler - Dennis Kavanagh (read 11 Mar 1995) This is one of a series covering every British election since 1945. It is awfully insular, so I could not appreciate it fully. There is also an analysis by a couple of political scientists, full of the arcane statistics they revel in. The 1992 British election was a very satisfying one to me since I like John Major, and it was fun to read about the surprising (to pollsters) results.½
